Bate Chubb & Dickson was founded in 1905 by George Frederick Bate and Walter George Chubb who in 1927 were joined by Cedric Dickson.
In 1935 Walter Chubb was succeeded by his son, Ashton, under whose guidance the standing and influence of the firm grew steadily, establishing a sound general practice. In the years that followed, Bate Chubb & Dickson grew from a one partner firm to the present Incorporated practice under the leadership of its six directors. Well known and respected in the Eastern Cape, the firm in 1992 acquired its own premises in Greater East London and is easily accessible by virtue of its suburban situation and adequate parking facilities.
Bate Chubb & Dickson Inc. is one of the older law firms in the country and the impressive reputation that it has built over the years stems from its continued commitment to excellence.
