Bate Chubb & Dickson was founded in 1905 by George Frederick Bate and Walter George Chubb who in 1927 were joined by Cedric Dickson.

Our Team
Angus Warren
Director
Angus was born in Stutterheim where he completed his schooling. He studied at Rhodes University completing his BCom LLB in 1988 before spending a working holiday travelling Europe.
Jason Chambers
Director
Jason was born in East London on 18 September 1973. He matriculated from Selborne College, East London in 1991. He attended Rhodes University in Grahamstown from 1992 to 1996 where he obtained firstly his BA and thereafter an LLB.
Melanie Köpke
Director
Melanie matriculated from Clarendon High School for Girls in 2003. At school Mel served on the Interact Board and Junior City Council, and was elected Junior Mayor of Buffalo City (2002-2003). Mel obtained a BA degree in 2006 and a LLB degree in 2008 from Rhodes University.
Castro Macozoma
Director
Castro was born in Mthatha on 9 November 1991. He matriculated from Dale College, King William’s Town in 2009. He was the 5th best academic achiever for Dale College 2009 matric class and he obtained an academic bursary at Nelson Mandela University where he completed his LLB degree in 2014.
Peter van Zyl
Director
Pieter van Zyl was born in Cape Town in 1989. He matriculated from Durbanville High School in 2007 and commenced his studies at the University of Stellenbosch in 2008. He graduated with a BCom degree in 2010 and an LLB in 2012.
