Angus was born in Stutterheim where he completed his schooling. He studied at Rhodes University and completed his BCom LLB in 1988.
He joined Bate Chubb & Dickson Inc. in October 1990, where he is now the senior director, and specialises in all aspects of property law, conveyancing, estate planning, trusts, commercial contracts, and pre-nuptial contracts.
Angus is married to Sophia, a retired mathematics teacher and has two children, Vaughan, a civil engineer with a master’s degree in hydrology and Abigail, a veterinary surgeon.
Angus enjoys an active lifestyle travelling, kayak fishing, off-road cycling, and paddling and has been involved over the years in various leadership positions at university, schools, and sports clubs. He is committed to fulfilling his civic and social responsibilities.
Proud moments include completing the Comrades Marathon, the PE2EL Surfski Challenge (the longest endurance race at sea), the Dusi Canoe Marathon, the Joburg to Sea Mountain Bike endurance race and other sporting events.
